Eurotunnel Pets InformationEurotunnel are approved by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) to transport pets on its carriages.
Mandatory Documents (Note: The following papers are mandatory for non-British citizens travelling to the United Kingdom with a pet, and for British citizens returning home with their pet. You must present original documents. Photocopies are not accepted).
A certificate or PET passport from your Vet certifying the innoculation of your pet with the anti-rabies vaccine.
A certificate of treatment for ectoparasites and endoparasites (ticks and tapeworms) issued by your Vet.
Computer identity chip. The animal must have an injected computer id chip fitted by your Vet.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the documents in your possession are valid. If not, Eurotunnel would be obliged to refuse to embark your pet. Eurotunnel cannot be held responsible for an error made by you or your veterinary surgeon that led to a refusal to embark your pet.
Top TipWhilst travelling on the Eurotunnel train pets must be kept in your vehicle at all times. Prior to boarding however make use of the special 'doggy' areas in Folkstone and Calais, specially set aside areas in which you can walk your dog in safety
