Condor Ferries FAQs
More about Condor Ferries
Condor Ferries began operations in May 1964, the brainchild of two Channel Islands businessmen. Condor initially ran a passenger service between France and the Channel Islands with the ship Condor 1. The first service linking England with the Channel Islands was launched in 1987, subsequently expanding to a year-round service connecting the UK, Guernsey and Jersey and St Malo in France. In 1999 Commodore Clipper, a conventional ferry, was introduced to the fleet to offer an all-weather, year-round service. The state of-the-art high speed 102 metre trimaran ferry Condor Liberation was introduced in March 2015 - the first of her kind in Northern Europe. Condor Liberation serves Guernsey and Jersey from its UK base in Poole. Condor Ferries also operates the Condor Rapide fast cat ferry, on the Guernsey to France route. Each year Condor Ferries carries more than 1 million passengers and 200,000 passenger vehicles.
